Hurricane Irma: Northeast Florida, Southeast Georgia evacuation zones

Updated:

Hurricane Irma is a dangerous Category 5 storm that is threatening Florida. Florida Gov. Rick Scott has already declared a State of Emergency for all 67 counties in the state.

Knowing your evacuation zone before actually needing to leave your home will save you a lot of time in an emergency.

If you live in Duval County this is the website you need to know about. Once on the site, type in your home address then scroll to the bottom. On the left hand side, you’ll see what your evacuation zone is.

If you’re in St. Johns County, you can visit this website. Once there, type in your address to know your zone.

For those of you living in Clay County, here’s the web address to keep in mind. You can type in your house number and street name in separate lines to find your zone.

Nassau County residents should visit this website and it requires a few more steps. You’ll need to click on “map layers” at the top pf the page, then uncheck all the boxes except for “public safety” and “evacuation zones.”

After that, select “address” in the search box and plug in your address to find your zone.
